At around 7.25pm two males on a motorbike entered Buzz Bingo on Stonedale Retail Park on East Lancashire Road.

The two men made threats to members of staff before escaping with a quantity of cash.

Nobody was injured during the incident

The males are described as wearing motorcycle helmets, gloves, dark clothing and high-vis jackets.

The bike, described as a red coloured ‘naked’ style bike, left in the direction of the East Lancashire Road.

An investigation is underway and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the local area.

Detective Inspector Cath Haggerty said: “There would have been members of the public in and around the retail park last night and on the East Lancashire Road at the time of the robbery.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity who saw anyone or anything suspicious or saw the bike in the area to contact us. I would also ask anyone who believes they may have captured the bike on their dash-cam footage to contact us.”
