Appeal following a fire at nursery

Emergency services were called to the Honey Pot Day Nursery on Earp Street at around 9.10pm to a report the building was on fire.

The fire was extinguished by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

Enquiries into the fire are at a very early stage, but it was reported it may have been started deliberately.

The building was unoccupied at the time and there are no reports of any injuries.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and anyone with information, or who may have captured any information on dashcam or CCTV, is asked to contact @MerPolCC, call 101 quoting reference 1074 of 4 May or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
